Aleppo’s Central Prison Battle: British Suicide Bomber Fails Mission, Chechen Terrorist Leader Dies
A jihadist group released a so-called « martyrdom video » of the last moments of the man suspected of being the first British suicide bomber in Syria. His name is Abdul Wahid Majid, and he was fighting in the ranks of al-Qaeda’s Jabhat al-Nusra (Nusra Front). His attempt to drive a truck laden with explosives to break open Aleppo’s central prison failed after the Syrian Army targeted the vehicle before reaching its destination. This was the group’s attempt to free terrorists detained by the Syrian Army.
In the same battle, the leader of one of Jabhat al-Nusra’s groups involved in the battle, the notorious Chechen commander Sayfullah al-Shishani, died as a result of a mortar.
