Damas / Le président Bachar al-Assad a affirmé que la Syrie est contre la tuerie des innocents n’importe où dans le monde.
Commentant les derniers événements en France lors d’une interview avec le journal tchèque « Literarni Noviny », le président al-Assad a dit: “Quand il s’agit de la tuerie des civils, c’est du terrorisme quelle que soit la position politique ou l’accord ou le désaccord avec les personnes qui ont été tuées ».

« Nous souffrions depuis quatre ans de ce genre du terrorisme et nous avions perdu des milliers de personnes innocentes. C’est pourquoi nous sympathisons avec les familles de ces victimes », a indiqué le président al-Assad, lors de l’interview qui sera publiée demain.

Le président al-Assad a rappelé que la Syrie avait évoqué ces séquelles depuis le début de la crise et averti l’Occident des risques de leur soutien du terrorisme qui se répercutera sur leurs pays et leurs populations, mais les politiciens occidentaux ne nous ont pas écouté et ils avaient une vision à courte vue.

« Ce qui s’est passé en France a prouvé que nous avions raison et que les politiques européennes sont responsables de ce qui se passait dans la région et en France récemment et probablement de ce qui s’est passé déjà dans d’autres pays européens », a assuré le président al-Assad.

Questionné sur le meilleur moyen de lutter contre le terrorisme, le président Assad a répondu : “Il faut distinguer entre la lutte contre les terroristes et la lutte contre le terrorisme, si on veut parler de la situation actuelle, il faut lutter contre les terroristes car ils tuent les innocents et c’est de notre devoir de les défendre. Pour le moment, c’est le moyen le plus urgent et le plus important pour traiter cette question”.

Et le président al-Assad d’ajouter : “La lutte contre le terrorisme n’a pas besoin d’une armée, mais de bonnes politiques”.

“Il faut faire face à l’ignorance via la culture et construire une bonne économie pour lutter contre la pauvreté et échanger les informations entre les pays concernés de la lutte anti-terroriste », a précisé le président Assad, faisant savoir que le problème ne serait pas résolu comme était le cas en Afghanistan.

Le président al-Assad a rappelé qu’il avait dit à un groupe de membres du Congres qui était en visite à Damas à l’époque, et qui parlait de l’invasion ed l’Afghanistan pour venger ce qui s’est passé à New York dans ce temps, que le problème ne sera pas résolu par ce moyen, car la lutte contre le terrorisme se ressemble au traitement du cancer qui ne sera que via son éradication totale.

“Ce qui s’est passé en Afghanistan a abouti à la propagation rapide du terrorisme, et pour cela, comme j’avais dit, on doit concentrer sur les bonnes politiques, l’économie et la Culture”, a conclu le président.

Damascus, SANA – President Bashar al-Assad stressed that killing civilians is terrorism, regardless of the political views of those killed, noting that the events in France brought European policies to account.
“When you talk about terrorism, about killing civilians, and regardless of the political position, agreement or disagreement with the people who have been killed, this is a case of terrorism,” said the President in response to a question about the recent events in France in an interview with the Czech newspaper Literarni noviny due to be

published tomorrow.

“We are against killing innocent people anywhere in the world…This is our principle,” said the President.
He made it clear that Syria is “one of the countries which best understand this issue because we have been suffering from terrorism for the past four years and we lost thousands of innocent lives in Syria.”

“That’s why,” he added, “we sympathize with the families of those victims.”

“At the same time, we want to remind many people in the West that we have been talking about these repercussions since the beginning of the crisis in Syria. We have been saying, you shouldn’t support terrorism and provide it with a political umbrella, because this will reflect on your countries and your people. They didn’t listen to us,” President al-Assad said.

He went on saying that the Western politicians are “short-sighted and narrow-minded,” noting that what happened in France days ago “proved that what we said was true.”

“At the same time, this incident brought European policies to account, because they are responsible for what happened in our region, for what happened in France, and maybe what happened earlier in other European countries,” the President said.

And about his vision for the best way to fight terrorism, the President said “If we want to talk about the reality now, we need to fight terrorists because they are killing innocent people, and we have to defend these people. This is the most important and urgent method to deal with it,” said President Assad.
“But if we want to talk about the crisis,” he added, “fighting terrorism doesn’t need an army, but needs good policies. We should fight ignorance with culture and education, should build a good economy to fight poverty, and there should be an exchange of information among the countries concerned with fighting terrorism.”

He clarified that “The problem cannot be addressed in the way they addressed it in Afghanistan, I mean what they did in Afghanistan in 2001. A group of Congressmen visited Damascus at that time and they were talking about invading Afghanistan in revenge for what happened in New York earlier. I said this is not how you should do it,
because fighting terrorism is similar to treating cancer. You do not treat cancer by cutting it, but by extracting it. What happened in Afghanistan is that they cut the cancer, and the result was that it spread much faster. That’s why, as I said, we should focus on good policies, on the economy, and on culture and education.”

أكد السيد الرئيس بشار الأسد أن سورية تقف ضد قتل الأبرياء في أي مكان في العالم وأن ما جرى في فرنسا مؤخراً من أحداث أثبت صحة ما كانت تقوله سورية وكان بمثابة المساءلة للسياسات الأوروبية لأنها هي المسؤولة عما حدث في منطقتنا وفي فرنسا مشيراً إلى أن سورية كانت تقول للسياسيين الغربيين بأنه لا يجوز أن تدعموا الإرهاب وأن توفروا مظلة سياسية له لأن ذلك سينعكس على بلدانكم وعلى شعوبكم.

وقال الرئيس الأسد لصحيفة ليتيرارني نوفيني التشيكية في حوار ينشر غداً تعليقاً على سؤال على أحداث فرنسا الأخيرة: “عندما يتعلق الأمر بقتل المدنيين وبصرف النظر عن الموقف السياسي.. والاتفاق أو الاختلاف مع الأشخاص الذين قتلوا.. فإن هذا إرهاب.. ونحن ضد قتل الأبرياء في أي مكان في العالم.. هذا مبدؤنا.. نحن أكثر بلدان العالم فهماً لهذه المسألة لأننا نعاني من هذا النوع من الإرهاب منذ أربع سنوات.. وقد خسرنا آلاف الأشخاص الأبرياء في سورية.. ولذلك فإننا نشعر بالتعاطف مع أسر أولئك الضحايا.. لكننا وفي الوقت نفسه نريد تذكير كثيرين في الغرب أننا نتحدث عن هذه التداعيات منذ بداية الأزمة في سورية..كنا نقول .. لا يجوز أن تدعموا الإرهاب وأن توفروا مظلة سياسية له لأن ذلك سينعكس على بلدانكم وعلى شعوبكم.. لم يصغوا لنا.. بل كان السياسيون الغربيون قصيري النظر وضيقي الأفق.. وما حدث في فرنسا منذ أيام أثبت أن ما قلناه كان صحيحاً.. وفي الوقت نفسه فإن هذا الحدث كان بمثابة المساءلة للسياسات الأوروبية لأنها هي المسؤولة عما حدث في منطقتنا وفي فرنسا مؤخراً.. وربما ما حدث سابقاً في بلدان أوروبية أخرى”.

وأضاف الرئيس الأسد رداً على سؤال حول أفضل طريقة لمكافحة الإرهاب: “يجب أن نفرق بين محاربة الإرهابيين ومكافحة الإرهاب.. إذا أردنا أن نتحدث عن الواقع الراهن.. علينا أن نحارب الإرهابيين لأنهم يقتلون الناس الأبرياء وعلينا الدفاع عن هؤلاء الناس.. هذه هي الطريقة الأكثر إلحاحاً وأهميةً الآن لمعالجة هذه القضية.. لكن إذا أردنا أن نتحدث عن مكافحة الإرهاب فهذه لا تحتاج إلى جيش.. بل هي بحاجة إلى سياسات جيدة.. ينبغي محاربة الجهل من خلال الثقافة.. كما ينبغي بناء اقتصاد جيد لمكافحة الفقر.. وأن يكون هناك تبادل للمعلومات بين البلدان المعنية بمكافحة الإرهاب.. المشكلة لا تتم معالجتها كما جرى في أفغانستان.. أقصد ما فعلوه في أفغانستان في العام 2001.. كنت قد قلت لمجموعة من أعضاء الكونغرس الأمريكي زاروا دمشق في تلك الفترة وكانوا يتحدثون عن غزو أفغانستان انتقاماً لما حدث في نيويورك حينها.. قلت.. ما هكذا يعالج الأمر.. لأن مكافحة الإرهاب أشبه بمعالجة السرطان.. السرطان لا يعالج بشقه أو إزالة جزء منه.. بل باستئصاله كليا.. ما حدث في أفغانستان هو أنهم شقوا جرحاً في ذلك السرطان.. وكانت النتيجة أنه انتشر بسرعة أكبر.. لذلك وكما قلت ينبغي التركيز على السياسات الجيدة وعلى الاقتصاد والثقافة”.
