Al-Moallem: Russia’s participation in fighting terrorism will turn the tables on the conspirators

Damascus, SANA – Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign and Expatriates Minister Walid al-Moallem said Russia’s participation in fighting Jabhat al-Nusra and ISIS terrorist organizations will turn the tables on those who plotted conspiracies against Syria.
“There is something new beyond (Russia) providing Syria with weapons, which is Russia engaging in fighting ISIS and Jabhat al-Nusra,” said al-Moallem in an interview with the Russian RT channel that was aired on Saturday.
“This is a major issue. It is something that will turn the tables on those who conspired against Syria and will show that the US and its coalition have had no strategy for combating ISIS, and the evidence is that they have grasped the Russian message and now want to coordinate and cooperate with Russia,” al-Moallem added.
He made it clear that what Syria is doing along with its friends in Russia is open and that there is nothing going on under the table, pointing out that Russia does not hide its will to participate in fighting terrorism.
“We in Syria,” he said, “trust the Russian Federation’s leadership and its intention to participate. What we are doing is open and known to all.”
Al-Moallem explained that Russia is acting under the international law and in coordination with Syria, criticizing the US for acting otherwise as far as the international coalition it leads against ISIS is concerned.
He said the US is busy counting the number of airstrikes carried out by the coalition and not the results “because they are ineffective,” stressing that the only force fighting Jabhat al-Nusra and ISIS is the Syrian Army.
The Minister renewed Syria’s welcoming of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s initiative for establishing a wide front of countries to cooperate with the Syrian government in facing terrorism, stressing that Syria welcomes any country that is really willing and sincere to fight terrorism.
As fas as the political solution is concerned, al-Moallem stressed that the Syrian government does not mind starting political dialogue in parallel with the efforts of fighting terrorism.
“We don’t want to walk in a dark tunnel. We want to walk in an open path,” said al-Moallem, stressing that it has become today clear that fighting terrorism is the priority, “but this doesn’t mean that we are not pursuing political dialogue.”
“What the Syrian citizen wants above everything else is security,” he added.
Asked about the situation in al-Zabadani and the ceasefire there, al-Moallem explained that there had been four attempts at establishing ceasefire and there were results, but in each time the terrorists received instructions to break it, noting that there is now a fifth attempt at a time when the Syrian army and the Lebanese Resistance are only meters from resolving the battle in al-Zabadani.
“We care for the people’s lives and we are open for considering the ceasefire,” he added.

Mouallem : La participation de la Russie à la lutte contre les réseaux «Daech» et «Nosra» dévoile que les États-Unis n’ont pas une stratégie concrète concernant la lutte anti-Daech

Damas / Le vice-président du Conseil des ministres, ministre des Affaires Étrangères et des Expatriés, Walid al-Mouallem, a affirmé que la participation de la Russie à la lutte contre les réseaux terroristes «Daech» et «Front Nosra» révèle que les États-Unis et leur Coalition n’ont pas une stratégie concrète en ce qui concerne la lutte anti-Daech.

Dans une interview avec la chaîne «Russia Today», Mouallem a affirmé que la priorité est à la lutte contre le terrorisme car le citoyen a besoin de la sécurité avant toute autre chose.

«La lutte contre le terrorisme ouvrira la porte devant le règlement politique », a assuré Mouallem.

Il a ajouté que la Syrie a confiance en la direction russe et en sa participation à la lutte contre le terrorisme, ajoutant que Moscou œuvre conformément au droit international et en coordination avec la Syrie au contraire des Etats-Unis qui ne le font pas.

Il a assuré que la seule force qui lutte vraiment contre le «Front Nosra» et «Daech» est l’armée arabe syrienne.

D’autre part, Mouallem s’est félicité de l’initiative du président russe Vladimir Poutine qui a appelé à créer un Front élargi pour lutter contre le terrorisme, et de la participation de tout autre pays qui veut sincèrement lutter contre le terrorisme et arrêter son soutien militaire et financier à ce phénomène.

Répondant à une question sur l’initiative de l’émissaire de l’Onu pour la Syrie, Staffan De Mistura, Mouallem a fait valoir que la Syrie étudiera cette question et prendra la décision d’y participer ou de ne pas le faire.
Au sujet de la situation à Zabadani, Mouallem a fait savoir que l’armée syrienne et la résistance libanaise sont proches de la mise d’un terme à la bataille de Zabadani.

Répondant à une question sur le message qu’il transmettra à l’Assemblée Générale de l’ONU, Mouallem a assuré que son message est claire, à savoir demander à la Communauté internationale: «Qu’est ce qu’elle a fait avec les résolutions prises par le conseil de sécurité sous le chapitre 7 au sujet de la lutte contre le terrorisme?».

المعلم: مشاركة روسيا بمكافحة “داعش” و”النصرة” الإرهابيين ستقلب الطاولة على من تآمر علينا

أكد نائب رئيس مجلس الوزراء وزير الخارجية والمغتربين وليد المعلم أن مشاركة روسيا في مكافحة تنظيمي “داعش” و”جبهة النصرة” الإرهابيين سيقلب الطاولة على من تآمر ضد سورية وتكشف أنه لا يوجد للولايات المتحدة وتحالفها استراتيجية واضحة في مكافحة “داعش”.
الحكومة السورية لا تمانع في بدء حوار سياسي إلى جانب مكافحة الإرهاب
وجدد الوزير المعلم التأكيد في مقابلة خاصة مع قناة (روسيا اليوم) على أن الحكومة السورية لا تمانع في بدء حوار سياسي وذلك إلى جانب مكافحة الإرهاب في الوقت ذاته مبينا “لا نرغب بالسير في نفق مظلم ونريد السير في طريق واضح.. اليوم أصبح واضحا أن مكافحة الارهاب تحتل الأولوية وهذا لا يعني أننا لا نسير في حوار سياسي لكن الأولوية لمكافحة الإرهاب من ناحية عملية.. هل نستطيع تنفيذ ما تم التوافق عليه على أرض الواقع في ظل تصاعد الإرهاب.. هذا صعب.. ما يريده المواطن السوري قبل كل شيء هو الأمن”.
نثق بقيادة الاتحاد الروسي وبعزمه على المشاركة بمكافحة الإرهاب
وأوضح وزير الخارجية والمغتربين أن ما تفعله سورية مع الاصدقاء في روسيا معلن ولا شيء تحت الطاولة لافتا إلى أن الاتحاد الروسي لا يخفي عزمه الاشتراك بمكافحة الإرهاب ونحن في سورية نثق بقيادة الاتحاد الروسي وبعزمه على المشاركة وما نقوم به معلن ومعروف للجميع.
وحول توقيت الحديث عن وجود شيء جديد بين دمشق وموسكو على الأرض السورية قال الوزير المعلم “يوجد شيء جديد يفوق تزويد سورية بالسلاح وهو مشاركة روسيا بمحاربة “داعش” و”جبهة النصرة” وهذا شيء أساسي.. هذا شيء يقلب الطاولة على من تآمر على سورية ويكشف أن الولايات المتحدة وتحالفها لم يوجد لديهم استراتيجية لمكافحة “داعش” بدليل أنهم فهموا الرسالة الروسية وأرادوا أن ينسقوا ويتعاونوا مع روسيا الاتحادية”.
دول الجوار لم تنفذ أي قرار من قرارات مجلس الأمن ذات الصلة بمكافحة الإرهاب
وأضاف الوزير المعلم “لم تنفذ دول الجوار أي قرار من قرارات مجلس الأمن ذات الصلة بمكافحة الإرهاب.. مازال تدفق الإرهابيين على الحدود الأردنية والتركية وتمويل المسلحين وتدريبهم يسير على قدم وساق”.
وأكد وزير الخارجية والمغتربين أن “موسكو تعمل في ظل القانون الدولي بالتنسيق مع سورية لكن الولايات المتحدة لا تفعل ذلك وما تقوم به غير فعال فهي تعدد الطلعات الجوية لكنها لا تعدد النتائج لأنها غير فعالة” وقال “لا توجد قوة تحارب “جبهة النصرة” و”داعش”سوى الجيش السوري”.
الشعب السوري صامد ويؤازر الجيش
ولفت الوزير المعلم إلى أن “الجيش العربي السوري يحارب على جبهة عريضة منذ سنوات ولم تقل عزيمته والشعب يعاني الحصار الاقتصادي ومع ذلك صامد ويؤازر الجيش”.
وجدد وزير الخارجية والمغتربين الترحيب بمبادرة الرئيس الروسي فلاديمير بوتين عندما دعا لإقامة جبهة عريضة من الدول بالتعاون مع الحكومة السورية في مكافحة الارهاب ومعبرا في الوقت ذاته عن الترحيب بأي دولة راغبة فعلا وصدقا بمكافحة الارهاب وأن توقف ما تقدمه من دعم عسكري ومالي للإرهابيين لحسن النوايا.
وردا على سؤال حول زيارة مبعوث الأمم المتحدة إلى سورية ستافان دي ميستورا قال المعلم “بحثت مع دي ميستورا لمدة ساعتين إيضاحات لأسئلة أرسلناها سابقا حول مبادرته لإيجاد 4 فرق عمل لخبراء سوريين ليتبادلوا الأفكار فيما وصفه بتبادل فكري غير رسمي وغير ملزم للتحضير لعقد جنيف 3 بينما وصفها وصفا فكريا.. قلنا له نحن في ضوء الإيضاحات التي سمعناها سندرس الموقف ونأخذ القرار للمشاركة أو عدم المشاركة لا أدري سبب عدم ارتياحه.. لم ألمس منه أنه كان مرتاحا” لافتا إلى أن “دي ميستورا لم يكن مستعجلا حتى نعطله نريد أن نستوضح لنسير في طريق واضح سليم لا يؤدي إلى انتكاسات”.
وأوضح المعلم “نريد أن نفهم ماذا ستفعل كل لجنة من اللجان الأربع وما المتوقع من نتائجها وكيف ستنعكس على المستقبل.. نريد أن نستوضح ما الرسمي وغير الرسمي.. الموضوع يحتاج إلى دراسة لكي نتخذ الموقف المناسب”.
مكافحة الإرهاب تفتح الباب للحل السياسي
وشدد المعلم على أن ما تريده دمشق هو “الناحية العملية التطبيقية” مضيفا “لا مانع من بدء حوار بالتوازي مع مكافحة الإرهاب لكن تنفيذه على الأرض صعب بسبب انعدام الأمان.. إن مكافحة الإرهاب هي التي تفتح الباب للحل السياسي”.
وبشأن الوضع في الزبداني أوضح الوزير المعلم أنه جرت أربع محاولات للهدنة وفي كل مرة نصل إلى نتائج وتأتي التعليمات للإرهابيين بالتوقف ورفض الهدنة وهناك محاولة خامسة والجيش السوري والمقاومة اللبنانية أصبحا على بعد أمتار من حسم المعركة في الزبداني ونحرص على حياة الناس ونحن منفتحون على دراسة الهدنة.
وردا على سؤال حول الرسالة التي يحملها إلى الجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة وتوقعاته بأن تنصت عواصم القرار العالمي لها قال الوزير المعلم “رسالتي واضحة أريد أن أسأل المجتمع الذي سيجتمع في مجلس الأمن ماذا فعلتم بالقرارات التي صدرت من مجلس الأمن تحت الفصل السابع لمكافحة الإرهاب.. لو فعلتم واجبكم لكنتم وفرتم دماء السوريين.. نحن ندفع بالدم ضريبة تآمر الولايات المتحدة والغرب على سورية.. الأمم المتحدة هي التي أصدرت القرارات ومن واجبها متابعة تنفيذها ووضع العقوبات المناسبة وفضح الدول التي لم تنفذ وتحترم هذه القرارات”.
